Responding to numerous requests from customers, GRAPHILO personal organizer refills are now available in limited quantities and exclusively through direct sales.
Kobe Ha Keikaku's original paper, "GRAPHILO," is named by combining the Greek words for "write" (graph) and "love" (philo). This paper was created with the desire to produce paper products that excel in fountain pen writing performance.
Development proceeded with the cooperation of a paper manufacturer and fountain pen enthusiasts, striving for the ideal paper.
They selected a paper from dozens of varieties and then meticulously adjusted the composition and manufacturing method, creating dozens more papers. Repeated writing tests were conducted on these, and fine-tuning continued until the very day of papermaking.
Paper can be broadly categorized into "uncoated paper," which has no surface treatment, and "coated paper," which has pigments called fillers applied to its surface. Many of the distinctive writing characteristics of GRAPHILO are born from the ingenious combination of the type, quantity, and application method of these fillers.
Smooth and rich ink flow｜
While retaining the texture of the paper, it offers a smooth writing experience free from skipping or snagging.
This sensation is expressed with the word "nurunuru" (a Japanese onomatopoeia describing a smooth, slippery feel).
Sharp outlines｜
By using fillers that effectively cover the surface even when applied thinly, we have successfully minimized bleeding and feathering of lines.
Excellent ink color development｜
The uniform coating layer allows ink to develop beautifully, offering rich expression of color variations.
Reduced bleed-through｜
By adjusting the filler composition, ink is less likely to bleed through, even when using broad nibs or writing over existing text.
Reduced front-to-back difference｜
Paper always has a difference between its front and back sides.
While some papers may have significantly different writing sensations depending on this difference, GRAPHILO has been carefully designed to minimize this front-to-back variation.
*Because GRAPHILO is designed to provide a smooth writing experience, ink absorption tends to be slightly slower.
