Kobeha Keikaku | GRAPHILO refill M5 grid
Highly Anticipated Refills in Limited Production
GRAPHILO system notebook refills, highly requested by customers, are now available in a limited, direct-to-consumer release.
Kobeha Keikaku's original paper, "GRAPHILO," was named by combining the Greek words "graph" (to write) and "philo" (to love). It was manufactured with the desire to create paper products that offer a superior fountain pen writing experience.
Development proceeded with the cooperation of paper manufacturers and fountain pen enthusiasts, all seeking the ideal paper.
Among dozens of selections, slight adjustments were made to the composition and manufacturing method, keeping the same tendencies as the chosen paper. Writing tests were repeatedly conducted on the resulting dozens of paper types, with fine-tuning continuing until the very day of papermaking.
Paper can be broadly categorized into "uncoated paper," which has no surface treatment, and "coated paper," which has pigments called fillers applied. Many of the characteristics of GRAPHILO's writing feel are born from the ingenious combination of the type, quantity, and blending method of these fillers.
Smooth, Rich Ink Flow |
While retaining the texture of the paper, it offers a smooth writing experience without skipping or catching.
This sensation is expressed with the word "nurunuru" (smooth and slick).
Sharp Lines |
By using fillers that can thoroughly cover the surface even when applied thinly, we successfully minimized feathering and line thickening.
Excellent Ink Color Development |
A uniform coating layer allows ink to develop its color beautifully, with rich shading expression.
Reduced Bleed-Through |
By adjusting the filler composition, ink is less likely to bleed through, even when using broad nibs or overwriting.
Reduced Front/Back Difference |
There is always a difference between the front and back of paper.
Depending on this difference, some papers can have a significantly different writing feel even with the same material, but GRAPHILO also pays attention to minimizing the front/back difference.
* GRAPHILO tends to have a slightly slower ink absorption due to its "nurunuru" writing feel.
Also, you may not experience the above characteristics depending on the pen or ink you use.
Please try it while experimenting with its compatibility with your writing tools.
