This fountain pen paper was developed by a Kyoto paper wholesaler with the aim of being "non-bleeding," "good absorption," "usable on both sides," "comfortable to write on," and "feels textured." To accommodate the smooth strokes of a fountain pen, the paper is slightly rough to prevent ink bleeding or bleed-through, and has excellent moisture absorption and quick-drying properties.
