The stitching is kept to a minimum, and the folds create a functional shape. The shape resembles an envelope folded in half, and the hole in the center allows for a wide range of uses.
This item reinterprets the ring binder as a way to organize things. It can be used as a system organizer, or as a wallet or organizer by combining the refill parts.
Material

Leather
The leather used by Olu is a waxed shoulder leather with a smooth surface produced by a long-established tannery in the Ponte a Egola region of Tuscany, Italy.
The surface is characterized by being generously sprayed with wax until it turns whitish.
The leather does not contain a large amount of oily components, giving it a moderate sense of tension and lightness. It is vegetable tanned and dyed, so the more you use it, the more the color will develop and the more luster unique to waxed leather will appear, making it a leather that you can enjoy watching change over time (aging).

Binder / Binder fittings
These binder hardware are made by Krause, a German company that is known for its high quality and has long been used around the world for high-end system organizers. The ring diameter is just 11mm, which is not too large.

Ageing
With use, the wax on the surface will wear off, revealing the elegant, natural luster that is unique to waxed leather. The color can change dramatically, depending on how well the leather is waxed. The whitish color of the wax will disappear, revealing a shiny luster and the natural color of the leather.
*Please note that the aging process will vary depending on usage, so please use this information as a reference only.
In order to prioritize the natural texture of the leather, no color fixing processing has been applied, so there is a possibility of discoloration, fading, color transfer, oil transfer, etc. Please note in advance.
Care

All Italian leather is saturated with oil during the tanning process, so for the first year or so after you start using the product, there is basically no need to moisturize or maintain it with leather cream or oil.

With continued use, the oil that has soaked into the leather will gradually begin to dry out, and the surface may feel a little rough. When the surface begins to dry out, apply additional oil.
By adding moisture to the leather, the leather will become more lustrous and the color will become deeper with use. After applying the first coat, we recommend using it again about once a year.

Although there will be a fee, we will do our best to accommodate requests such as re-stitching the thread or replacing the leather. We will provide you with an individual quote, so please feel free to contact us.
