TAG STATIONERY, a stationery brand operated by Takeda Office Equipment Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City; CEO: Noboru Takeda), will begin selling two new colors from its writing instrument brand "Kyoto no Oto," "Lapis Lazuli" and "Green Glaze Color," from Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
We have sold 10 colors of dye ink "Kyoto Sound" series so far. To mark the 5th anniversary of the launch, we will release two colors of ink containing glitter particles.

"Colors inspired by minerals"
Lapis lazuli is a vivid blue color with a deep purple hue. Originally, lapis lazuli was a gemstone produced on Mount Sumeru, which stands at the center of the Buddhist world, and is one of the seven treasures of Buddhism. Lapis lazuli, named after the color of this gemstone, was also regarded as the supreme color and sacred.

"Green glaze" is one of the oldest glazes, having been used in China before the Common Era. In Japan, it has been produced since the Heian period and was used mainly by aristocrats.
