[Workshop Announcement] Calligraphy Days Mie Sawada x Kyo no Oto @ Matsuya Ginza Calligraphy lesson and original ink making

A workshop will be held at the Ginza Matsuya venue in conjunction with the event in May.

We will be holding a calligraphy lesson with Mie Sawada, the founder of Calligraphy Days. Please come and experience the wonderful world of handwritten writing by Mie Sawada.

①The harmony of Kyoto ink "Kyoto no Oto" and calligraphy
~Copper plate body~

[Tuition fee] 14,040 yen (tax included)
If you have a pen holder (oblique holder), please bring it with you. We will provide the nib.
If you don't have a holder, you can purchase one on the day for 675 yen (tax included).

After a lecture on colors and color mixing from a member of the "Kyoto Neko" team, you will create your own original ink in the color of your choice.
While enjoying the beautiful world of ink shades, you will practice copperplate calligraphy and create a "card set" (2 cards and a card holder).
We will also introduce you to some profound techniques for enjoying ink in various ways.
Even if you can't draw, it's okay, because circles and squares create unique designs in a world of color.
We will bring samples according to your level on the day, so everyone from beginners to experienced people can enjoy it.

Instructor: Mie Sawada

In 2004, she started learning calligraphy at the Japan Calligraphy School. In 2011, she began working as a lecturer at the Japan Calligraphy School. In addition to regular lessons, she is in charge of wedding classes and summer seminars. She also exhibits her works and gives demonstrations at the "World Fountain Pen Exhibition" at Maruzen Nihonbashi. She also participates in workshops by calligraphers from Japan and abroad, striving to improve herself in order to deepen her knowledge of calligraphy in general.

Since 2016, he has been running Calligraphy Days in Setagaya, Tokyo. He offers lessons in a wide range of fields, from traditional calligraphy to modern calligraphy, which is popular in the West. He also works on calligraphy for high-end Western brands, calligraphy for domestic companies, calligraphy for weddings, and general logo creation.
