TAG STATIONERY | Japanese binding kit made with OK fools paper
This is a Japanese-style binding notebook kit made with OK fools paper for fountain pen enthusiasts. If you have a needle, you can enjoy Japanese-style binding at home.
At a specialized Japanese binding workshop, the OK fools paper will be cut to the size of your stamp book (B6 size), and we will deliver it to you with the same specifications as professional binding.
The binding string is made from pure silk thread from "Itoroku," a long-established company in the Gojo area of Kyoto that has been loved since the Meiji period for its "Smiley Pure Silk Thread." After you've bound it in your favorite color, try making a bookmark string with the two remaining colors.
Please choose from three types of white Japanese paper for the cover.
1. "Kouzo Brushed Washi Paper"
The handmade paper is then hand-dyed with a brush.
Because it is handmade, it is less likely to tear and the more you use it the more it fits comfortably in your hand.
Another feature is that the pattern on each piece is different.
2. "Glass fiber Japanese paper"
This is handmade washi paper made by mixing paper mulberry and glass fibers. Because it is handmade, it is hard to tear, and the more you use it, the more it fits your hand. The glass fibers are transparent, and the paper mulberry fiber pattern is clearly visible, so you can feel the handmade feel even more.
3. "Lacquer paper"
The embossed machine-made paper is finished by applying cashew lacquer in the same process as applying natural lacquer. Cashew lacquer does not cause skin allergies, so anyone can easily enjoy lacquer. It is also convenient that even if it gets a little wet, it can be wiped off immediately and there is no problem. Machine-made paper is used because its hard and firm texture is suitable for embossing clear patterns.
